Charles J. O'Brien III, AIA

PRESIDENT

DESIGN PRINCIPAL

Has over 40 years of architectural experience. Serving as the firm’s Design Principal, he leads the design team in developing a concept that meets the Owner’s program, aesthetic, and budget requirements. Chuck is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture. He is a registered architect in numerous states, certified by the NCARB, and is a registered Interior Designer.

Terry L. Herr, AIA

VICE PRESIDENT/CORPORATE SECRITARY
STUDIO PRINCIPAL

Terry has over 40 years of design experience and serves as a Studio Principal. He is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and is licensed in many states. Terry has planned projects ranging from 300-SF to 30,000 acres. His understanding of the influences and context derived from the site and its’ surroundings has been a constant in his approach to architectural solutions. He has found that building design, founded in architecture with strong engineering principles, produces a solution which is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Jeffrey Pieper

VICE PRESIDENT/COPORATE TREASURER
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PRINCIPAL

Jeff Pieper has more than 35 years of programming, planning and design experience. Jeff becomes involved in a project during the programming phase, verifying the need of the facility. Once the program is finalized, he will coordinate with the design team in the development of the plans of this facility. He holds a Masters of Arts in Architecture from the University of Florida and is a member of ICSC and CMAA.

David B. Holt, AIA

STUDIO PRINCIPAL

David has over 25 years of architectural experience. He joined the firm immediately upon graduation from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1982. He is registered architect in the State of Georgia.

Johnny C. Hembree, AIA, NCARB, ASID, LEED AP

STUDIO PRINCIPAL

Johnny is a graduate from Louisiana Tech University and has over 20 years of experience as a registered architect and registered interior designer. As a Principal of the firm he oversees the firm’s office, interiors, mission critical facilities, and healthcare projects. He brings a proven ability to manage large, technically complex projects. He directs the day-to-day progress of the design and construction according to the budget, quality of design, schedule and provides the Owner with a single-point of contact throughout all phases of the project.

Anthony Turpin, AIA

STUDIO PRINCIPAL

Anthony Turpin has over 20 years of design experience. He earned a Master of Architecture degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also spent two years studying at the Ecole’des Beaux Arts, Paris, France, 1982. He is a registered architect in the State of Georgia.

Richard M. Kramer, AIA

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PRINCIPAL

Richard Kramer brings nearly 30 years of experience with a thorough understanding of the building process to all stages of project development. Richard holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a registered architect in several states. He is on the AIA Atlanta Chapter Board of Directors, a member of the Atlanta Rotary Club, CoreNet, ICSC and on the City of Alpharetta Design Review Board.

Chuck has over 15 years experience and graduated from Auburn University with Bachelor of Architecture. He is a registured Achitect in the state of Georgia, NCARB certified and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Loren Wright, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP

ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL
PITTSBURGH MANAGING DIRECTOR

Loren joined the firm in 1997 and served as Project Manager until he moved to Pittsburgh in 2003. He then returned to POH Architects in 2006 to manage the Pittsburgh office. Loren is a graduate of the University of Florida where he earned a Masters of Architecture in 1997 and Bachelor of Design degree in 1994. He is a registered architect in PA and NCARB certified.
